1. וַיְהִי הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ בָּאָה וַעֲלָטָה הָיָה וְהִנֵּה תַנּוּר עָשָׁן וְלַפִּיד

When the sun set and it was dark, there was a smoking furnace and a flaming torch that passed between these pieces.

Avraham took the wood for the offering and placed it on his son, Yitzchak, and he took the fire and the knife in his hand, and the two of them walked together.

Yitzchak said to his father, Avraham, and said, "My father?" He said, "Here I am, my son." And he said, "Here are the fire and the wood, but where is the sheep for the offering?"

An angel of Hashem appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of the bush, and he saw, and behold, the bush was burning with fire but the bush was not consumed.

יהֹוָהי״י נָתַן קֹלֹת וּבָרָד וַתִּהֲלַךְ

Moshe stretched forth his staff to the heavens, and Hashem gave forth thunder and hail,

There was hail, and flashing fire within the hail, very heavy, the likes of which had not been in all the land of Egypt since it had become a nation.
9. וְאָכְלוּ אֶת הַבָּשָׂר בַּלַּיְלָה הַזֶּה צְלִי

In the morning watch, Hashem looked out over the Egyptian camp through the pillar of fire and cloud, and threw the Egyptian camp into a panic.

16. כִּי תֵצֵא
אֵשׁ וּמָצְאָה קֹצִים וְנֶאֱכַל גָּדִישׁ אוֹ הַקָּמָה אוֹ הַשָּׂדֶה שַׁלֵּם יְשַׁלֵּם הַמַּבְעִר אֶת הַבְּעֵרָה.

If fire goes out and catches in thorns, so that stacked grain, or standing grain, or a field is consumed, he who kindled the fire shall surely pay.
17. וּמַרְאֵה כְּבוֹד

The priest shall wear his linen clothing, and linen breeches he shall wear on his flesh, and he shall take up the ashes to which the fire had reduced the burnt offering on the altar and put them next to the altar.
34. וְהָאֵשׁ עַל הַמִּזְבֵּחַ תּוּקַד בּוֹ לֹא תִכְבֶּה וּבִעֵר עָלֶיהָ הַכֹּהֵן עֵצִים בַּבֹּקֶר בַּבֹּקֶר וְעָרַךְ עָלֶיהָ הָעֹלָה וְהִקְטִיר עָלֶיהָ חֶלְבֵי הַשְּׁלָמִים.

Or when the body has a burn from fire on its skin, and the raw flesh of the burn becomes a bright spot, reddish-white or white,

He shall burn the garment, whether the warp or the woof, of wool or of linen, or anything of leather, in which the plague is, for it is a leprous malignancy. It shall be burned in the fire.

And he shall put the incense on the fire before Hashem, that the cloud of the incense may cover the cover that is on the testimony, so that he will not die.

193. הָאֹמְרִים קְרַב אֵלֶיךָ אַל תִּגַּשׁ בִּי כִּי קְדַשְׁתִּיךָ אֵלֶּה עָשָׁן בְּאַפִּי
אֵשׁ יֹקֶדֶת כׇּל הַיּוֹם.

that say, "Stand by yourself. Do not come near to me, for I am holier than you". These are a smoke in My nose, a fire that burns all day.
194-195. כִּי הִנֵּה

And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have rebelled against Me. For their worm shall not die, and their fire shall not be quenched. And they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.

יהֹוָהי״י וְהָסִרוּ עׇרְלוֹת לְבַבְכֶם אִישׁ יְהוּדָה וְיֹשְׁבֵי יְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִם פֶּן תֵּצֵא
כָאֵשׁ חֲמָתִי וּבָעֲרָה וְאֵין מְכַבֶּה מִפְּנֵי רֹעַ מַעַלְלֵיכֶם.

Circumcise yourselves to Hashem, and take away the foreskins of your heart, you men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem; lest My wrath go forth like fire, and burn so that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead the dough, to make cakes to the queen of the sky, and to pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke Me to anger.
202. וּבָנוּ בָּמוֹת הַתֹּפֶת אֲשֶׁר בְּגֵיא בֶן הִנֹּם לִשְׂרֹף אֶת בְּנֵיהֶם וְאֶת בְּנֹתֵיהֶם
בָּאֵשׁ אֲשֶׁר לֹא צִוִּיתִי וְלֹא עָלְתָה עַל לִבִּי.

Hashem called your name, 'a green olive tree', beautiful with goodly fruit. With the noise of a great tumult He has kindled fire on it, and the branches of it are broken.

A fire devours before them, and behind them, a flame burns. The land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them, a desolate wilderness; no one has escaped them.

While he was yet speaking, there came also another and said: 'A fire of God has fallen from heaven, and has burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only have escaped alone to tell you.'
352. כִּי עֲדַת חָנֵף גַּלְמוּד
וְאֵשׁ אָכְלָה אׇהֳלֵי שֹׁחַד.

For the company of the godless shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tents of bribery.
353. גַּם אוֹר רְשָׁעִים יִדְעָךְ וְלֹא יִגַּהּ שְׁבִיב

Yes, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.
354. כׇּל חֹשֶׁךְ טָמוּן לִצְפּוּנָיו תְּאׇכְלֵהוּ
אֵשׁ לֹא נֻפָּח יֵרַע שָׂרִיד בְּאׇהֳלוֹ.

All darkness awaits his treasures; a fire not blown by man shall consume him; harm shall befall that which is left in his tent.
355. אִם לֹא נִכְחַד קִימָנוּ וְיִתְרָם אָכְלָה

'Surely their substance is cut off, and the fire has consumed their remnant.'
356. אֶרֶץ מִמֶּנָּה יֵצֵא לָחֶם וְתַחְתֶּיהָ נֶהְפַּךְ כְּמוֹ

As for the earth, out of it comes bread, and underneath, it is turned up as if by fire.

Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm. For love is strong as death, jealousy is cruel as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire, a very flame of Hashem.

He cut down, in burning anger, every horn of Israel. He withdrew His right hand from before the enemy. He burned in Yaakov like a flaming fire, consuming all around.
362. דָּרַךְ קַשְׁתּוֹ כְּאוֹיֵב נִצָּב יְמִינוֹ כְּצָר וַיַּהֲרֹג כֹּל מַחֲמַדֵּי עָיִן בְּאֹהֶל בַּת צִיּוֹן שָׁפַךְ

He has drawn his bow like an enemy; His right hand is stationed like a foe. He killed all that were precious to the eye. In the tent of Daughter Zion, He spilled forth His anger like fire.

יְהֹוָהי״י אֶת חֲמָתוֹ שָׁפַךְ חֲרוֹן אַפּוֹ וַיַּצֶּת
אֵשׁ בְּצִיּוֹן וַתֹּאכַל יְסֹדֹתֶיהָ.

Hashem spent his wrath; He poured out his burning anger. He kindled a fire in Zion and consumed its foundations.
364. וּגְוִיָּתוֹ כְתַרְשִׁישׁ וּפָנָיו כְּמַרְאֵה בָרָק וְעֵינָיו כְּלַפִּידֵי
אֵשׁ וּזְרֹעֹתָיו וּמַרְגְּלֹתָיו כְּעֵין נְחֹשֶׁת קָלָל וְקוֹל דְּבָרָיו כְּקוֹל הָמוֹן.

I went out by night by the valley gate, even toward the jackal's well, and to the dung gate, and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and its gates were consumed with fire.
368. וָאוֹמַר אֲלֵהֶם אַתֶּם רֹאִים הָרָעָה אֲשֶׁר אֲנַחְנוּ בָהּ אֲשֶׁר יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִם חֲרֵבָה וּשְׁעָרֶיהָ נִצְּתוּ
בָאֵשׁ לְכוּ וְנִבְנֶה אֶת חוֹמַת יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִם וְלֹא נִהְיֶה עוֹד חֶרְפָּה.

Then I said to them, "You see the evil case that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and its gates are burned with fire. Come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach."

Moreover in a pillar of cloud You led them by day; and in a pillar of fire by night, to give them light on the way in which they should go.
370. וְאַתָּה בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים לֹא עֲזַבְתָּם בַּמִּדְבָּר אֶת עַמּוּד הֶעָנָן לֹא סָר מֵעֲלֵיהֶם בְּיוֹמָם לְהַנְחֹתָם בְּהַדֶּרֶךְ וְאֶת עַמּוּד
הָאֵשׁ בְּלַיְלָה לְהָאִיר לָהֶם וְאֶת הַדֶּרֶךְ אֲשֶׁר יֵלְכוּ בָהּ.

yet You in Your manifold mercies didn't forsake them in the wilderness. The pillar of cloud didn't depart from over them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to show them light, and the way in which they should go.

373. וּכְכַלּוֹת שְׁלֹמֹה לְהִתְפַּלֵּל
וְהָאֵשׁ יָרְדָה מֵהַשָּׁמַיִם וַתֹּאכַל הָעֹלָה וְהַזְּבָחִים וּכְבוֹד

Now when Solomon had finished praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt-offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of Hashem filled the house.

And all the children of Israel looked on, when the fire came down, and the glory of Hashem was upon the house; and they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and prostrated themselves, and gave thanks to Hashem: "for He is good, for His mercy endures forever."
375. וְהוּא הִקְטִיר בְּגֵיא בֶן הִנֹּם וַיַּבְעֵר אֶת בָּנָיו
בָּאֵשׁ כְּתֹעֲבוֹת הַגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר הֹרִישׁ
יְהֹוָהי״י מִפְּנֵי בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל.

377. וַיְבַשְּׁלוּ הַפֶּסַח
בָּאֵשׁ כַּמִּשְׁפָּט וְהַקֳּדָשִׁים בִּשְּׁלוּ בַּסִּירוֹת וּבַדְּוָדִים וּבַצֵּלָחוֹת וַיָּרִיצוּ לְכׇל בְּנֵי הָעָם.

And they roasted the Passover with fire according to the ordinance; and the holy offerings they boiled in pots, and in caldrons, and in pans, and they carried them quickly to all the lay people.
378. וַיִּשְׂרְפוּ אֶת בֵּית הָאֱלֹהִים וַיְנַתְּצוּ אֵת חוֹמַת יְרוּשָׁלָ͏ִם וְכׇל אַרְמְנוֹתֶיהָ שָׂרְפוּ
בָאֵשׁ וְכׇל כְּלֵי מַחֲמַדֶּיהָ לְהַשְׁחִית.

And they burnt the house of God, and broke down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all its palaces with fire, and destroyed all its goodly vessels.
