1. אֶת קַשְׁתִּי נָתַתִּי
בֶּעָנָן וְהָיְתָה לְאוֹת בְּרִית בֵּינִי וּבֵין הָאָרֶץ.

2-3. וְהָיָה בְּעַנְנִי

6. לֹא יָמִישׁ עַמּוּד
הֶעָנָן יוֹמָם וְעַמּוּד הָאֵשׁ לָיְלָה לִפְנֵי הָעָם.

The pillar of cloud did not depart by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

The angel of God who was going before the Israelite camp traveled and went behind them, and the pillar of cloud traveled from before them and stood behind them.

Hashem said to Moshe, "Behold, I am coming to you in the thickness of the cloud, so that the people may hear when I speak with you, and they will believe also in you forever." And Moshe told the people's words to Hashem.

Moshe went up to the mountain and the cloud covered the mountain.

Moshe came into the cloud and he went up to the mountain, and Moshe was on the mountain for forty days and forty nights.

All the people would see the pillar of cloud standing by the entrance of the tent, and all the people would rise, and each would bow at the entrance to his tent.
19. וַיֵּרֶד
יְהֹוָהי״י בֶּעָנָן וַיִּתְיַצֵּב עִמּוֹ שָׁם וַיִּקְרָא בְשֵׁם

22. וּבְהֵעָלוֹת
הֶעָנָן מֵעַל הַמִּשְׁכָּן יִסְעוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּכֹל מַסְעֵיהֶם.

23. וְאִם לֹא יֵעָלֶה

And if the cloud was not lifted, they would not travel until the day of its rising.
24. כִּי

הֶעָנָן יְכַסֶּנּוּ וּמַרְאֵה אֵשׁ לָיְלָה.

Whenever the cloud was taken up from over the Tent, then after that the Children of Israel traveled; and in the place where the cloud remained, there the Children of Israel encamped.

יְהֹוָהי״י יַחֲנוּ כׇּל יְמֵי אֲשֶׁר יִשְׁכֹּן

At the commandment of Hashem, the Children of Israel traveled, and at the commandment of Hashem they encamped. As long as the cloud remained on the Tabernacle they remained encamped.
32. וּבְהַאֲרִיךְ
הֶעָנָן עַל הַמִּשְׁכָּן יָמִים רַבִּים וְשָׁמְרוּ בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת מִשְׁמֶרֶת

When the cloud stayed on the Tabernacle many days, then the Children of Israel kept Hashem's command, and didn't travel.

יְהֹוָהי״י יַחֲנוּ וְעַל פִּי

Sometimes the cloud was a few days on the Tabernacle; then according to the commandment of Hashem they remained encamped, and according to the commandment of Hashem they traveled.
34-36. וְיֵשׁ אֲשֶׁר יִהְיֶה
הֶעָנָן מֵעֶרֶב עַד בֹּקֶר וְנַעֲלָה
הֶעָנָן בַּבֹּקֶר וְנָסָעוּ אוֹ יוֹמָם וָלַיְלָה וְנַעֲלָה
הֶעָנָן וְנָסָעוּ.

Sometimes the cloud was from evening until morning, and when the cloud was taken up in the morning, they traveled, or by day and by night, when the cloud was taken up, they traveled.

הֶעָנָן עַל הַמִּשְׁכָּן לִשְׁכֹּן עָלָיו יַחֲנוּ בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלֹא יִסָּעוּ וּבְהֵעָלֹתוֹ יִסָּעוּ.

Whether it was two days, or a month, or a year that the cloud stayed on the Tabernacle, remaining on it, the Children of Israel remained encamped, and didn't travel; but when it was taken up, they traveled.
38. וַיְהִי בַּשָּׁנָה הַשֵּׁנִית בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשֵּׁנִי בְּעֶשְׂרִים בַּחֹדֶשׁ נַעֲלָה

57. וָאֵרֶא וְהִנֵּה רוּחַ סְעָרָה בָּאָה מִן הַצָּפוֹן
עָנָן גָּדוֹל וְאֵשׁ מִתְלַקַּחַת וְנֹגַהּ לוֹ סָבִיב וּמִתּוֹכָהּ כְּעֵין הַחַשְׁמַל מִתּוֹךְ הָאֵשׁ.
