1. וְעַתָּה אִם שָׁמוֹעַ תִּשְׁמְעוּ בְּקֹלִי וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם אֶת בְּרִיתִי וִהְיִיתֶם לִי סְגֻלָּה מִכׇּל הָעַמִּים כִּי לִי כׇּל הָאָרֶץ. (שמות י״ט:ה׳ / מקראות גדולות) (en)

And now, if you will surely listen to My voice and keep My covenant, you shall be for Me a treasured possession from among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine.

2. כִּי עַם קָדוֹשׁ אַתָּה לַיהֹוָהי״י אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּךָ בָּחַר יְהֹוָהי״י אֱלֹהֶיךָ לִהְיוֹת לוֹ לְעַם סְגֻלָּה מִכֹּל הָעַמִּים אֲשֶׁר עַל פְּנֵי הָאֲדָמָה. (דברים ז׳:ו׳ / מקראות גדולות) (en)

For you are a holy people to Hashem your God. Hashem your God has chosen you to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples who are on the face of the earth.

3. כִּי עַם קָדוֹשׁ אַתָּה לַיהֹוָהי״י אֱלֹהֶיךָ וּבְךָ בָּחַר יְהֹוָהי״י לִהְיוֹת לוֹ לְעַם סְגֻלָּה מִכֹּל הָעַמִּים אֲשֶׁר עַל פְּנֵי הָאֲדָמָה. (דברים י״ד:ב׳ / מקראות גדולות) (en)

For you are a holy people to Hashem your God, and Hashem has chosen you to be a treasured people, above all peoples who are on the face of the earth.

4. וַיהֹוָהי״י הֶאֱמִירְךָ הַיּוֹם לִהְיוֹת לוֹ לְעַם סְגֻלָּה כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר לָךְ וְלִשְׁמֹר כׇּל מִצְוֺתָיו. (דברים כ״ו:י״ח / מקראות גדולות) (en)

And Hashem has declared you this day to be a people for his own possession, as He has promised you, and that you should keep all his commandments;

5. וְהָיוּ לִי אָמַר יְהֹוָהי״י צְבָאוֹת לַיּוֹם אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי עֹשֶׂה סְגֻלָּה וְחָמַלְתִּי עֲלֵיהֶם כַּאֲשֶׁר יַחְמֹל אִישׁ עַל בְּנוֹ הָעֹבֵד אֹתוֹ. (מלאכי ג׳:י״ז / מקראות גדולות) (en)

They shall be mine," says Hashem of Hosts, "My own treasure on the day that I make, and I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him.

6. כִּי יַעֲקֹב בָּחַר לוֹ יָהּ יִשְׂרָאֵל לִסְגֻלָּתוֹ. (תהלים קל״ה:ד׳ / מקראות גדולות) (en)

For Hashem has chosen Yaakov for Himself, Israel as His treasured possession.⁠

7. כָּנַסְתִּי לִי גַּם כֶּסֶף וְזָהָב וּסְגֻלַּת מְלָכִים וְהַמְּדִינוֹת עָשִׂיתִי לִי שָׁרִים וְשָׁרוֹת וְתַעֲנֻגוֹת בְּנֵי הָאָדָם שִׁדָּה וְשִׁדּוֹת. (קהלת ב׳:ח׳ / מקראות גדולות) (en)

I also gathered silver and gold for myself, and the treasure of kings and of the provinces. I got myself male and female singers, and the delights of the sons of men, women, very many.

8. וְעוֹד בִּרְצוֹתִי בְּבֵית אֱלֹהַי יֶשׁ לִי סְגֻלָּה זָהָב וָכָסֶף נָתַתִּי לְבֵית אֱלֹהַי לְמַעְלָה מִכׇּל הֲכִינוֹתִי לְבֵית הַקֹּדֶשׁ. (דברי הימים א כ״ט:ג׳ / מקראות גדולות) (en)

Moreover also, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, seeing that I have a treasure of my own of gold and silver, I give it to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house,

Prayer for Our Soldiers

May He who blessed our fathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, bless the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces, who keep guard over our country and cities of our God, from the border with Lebanon to the Egyptian desert and from the Mediterranean Sea to the approach to the Arava, be they on land, air, or sea. May Hashem deliver into their hands our enemies who arise against us! May the Holy One, blessed be He, watch over them and save them from all sorrow and peril, from danger and ill, and may He send blessing and success in all their endeavors. May He deliver into their hands those who hate us, and May He crown them with salvation and victory. And may it be fulfilled through them the verse, "For Hashem, your God, who goes with you, to fight your enemies for you and to save you", and let us say: Amen.
