1. וְלֹא
הִכִּירוֹ כִּי הָיוּ יָדָיו כִּידֵי עֵשָׂו אָחִיו שְׂעִרֹת וַיְבָרְכֵהוּ.

And he did not recognize him because his hands were like the hands of his brother Esav, hairy. And he blessed him.
2. עִם אֲשֶׁר תִּמְצָא אֶת אֱלֹהֶיךָ לֹא יִחְיֶה נֶגֶד אַחֵינוּ
הַכֶּר לְךָ מָה עִמָּדִי וְקַח לָךְ וְלֹא יָדַע יַעֲקֹב כִּי רָחֵל גְּנָבָתַם.

They sent the long sleeved tunic, and they brought it to their father and said, "We found this. Now, recognize, is it your son's tunic or not?"
4. וַיַּכִּירָהּ וַיֹּאמֶר כְּתֹנֶת בְּנִי חַיָּה רָעָה אֲכָלָתְהוּ טָרֹף טֹרַף יוֹסֵף.

6. וַיַּכֵּר יְהוּדָה וַיֹּאמֶר צָדְקָה מִמֶּנִּי כִּי עַל כֵּן לֹא נְתַתִּיהָ לְשֵׁלָה בְנִי וְלֹא יָסַף עוֹד לְדַעְתָּהּ.

Yehuda recognized them and said, "She is more righteous than I, for after all I have not given her to my son, Shelah." And he did not know her intimately again.
7-8. וַיַּרְא יוֹסֵף אֶת אֶחָיו

Yosef saw his brothers and recognized them, but he acted as a stranger to them and spoke to them harshly. He said to them, "From where have you come?" They said, "From the land of Canaan, to buy food."

11. לֹא
תַכִּירוּ פָנִים בַּמִּשְׁפָּט כַּקָּטֹן כַּגָּדֹל תִּשְׁמָעוּן לֹא תָגוּרוּ מִפְּנֵי אִישׁ כִּי הַמִּשְׁפָּט לֵאלֹהִים הוּא וְהַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר יִקְשֶׁה מִכֶּם תַּקְרִבוּן אֵלַי וּשְׁמַעְתִּיו.

You shall not show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small and the great alike. You shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's. The case that is too hard for you, you shall bring to me, and I will hear it."
12. לֹא תַטֶּה מִשְׁפָּט לֹא
תַכִּיר פָּנִים וְלֹא תִקַּח שֹׁחַד כִּי הַשֹּׁחַד יְעַוֵּר עֵינֵי חֲכָמִים וִיסַלֵּף דִּבְרֵי צַדִּיקִם.

You shall not wrest justice. You shall not show partiality to persons, and you shall not take a bribe; for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous.
13. כִּי אֶת הַבְּכֹר בֶּן הַשְּׂנוּאָה
יַכִּיר לָתֶת לוֹ פִּי שְׁנַיִם בְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר יִמָּצֵא לוֹ כִּי הוּא רֵאשִׁית אֹנוֹ לוֹ מִשְׁפַּט הַבְּכֹרָה.

Rather, he shall acknowledge the firstborn, the son of the hated, by giving him a double portion of all that he has, for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his.

These also are sayings of the wise. To show partiality in judgment is not good.
32. בִּשְׂפָתָו

A malicious man disguises himself with his lips, but he harbors evil in his heart.

To show partiality is not good; yet a man will do wrong for a piece of bread.

There are those that rebel against the light; they do not know its ways or abide in its paths.

Therefore He takes knowledge of their works; and He overturns them in the night, so that they are crushed.

לְהַכִּירֵנִי וְאָנֹכִי נׇכְרִיָּה.

מַכִּירֵךְ בָּרוּךְ וַתַּגֵּד לַחֲמוֹתָהּ אֵת אֲשֶׁר עָשְׂתָה עִמּוֹ וַתֹּאמֶר שֵׁם הָאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר עָשִׂיתִי עִמּוֹ הַיּוֹם בֹּעַז.

50. וּבְנֵיהֶם חֲצִי מְדַבֵּר אַשְׁדּוֹדִית וְאֵינָם
מַכִּירִים לְדַבֵּר יְהוּדִית וְכִלְשׁוֹן עַם וָעָם.
